Ann Coulter: Poison Justice Stevens...Joking

Ann Coulter is at it again. This time her target was Justice Stevens of the U.S. Supreme Court. She said, that there is need for new conservative justices on the court to deal with the abortion issue. Stevens, being a liberal should have "rat poison" put in his food or drink. Excuse me? She then said she was joking, but I have to wonder about her hostility. It is not a joke to seek the dismise of a human being. Whatever happened to the premise that this is a country with varying views and we have the right to have them. Does that mean we should seek to stifle the voices of those we disagree with? I think not. As much as I detest the views of Ann Coulter, she is free to say them. The line is drawn when some fool takes her seriously and attempts to kill the Justice.

Maybe she has forgotten the justices that have been killed for their decisions. It could have slipped her mind that fools sent anthax to people because they wanted them dead for their views. Here's my view. If something happens to Justice Stevens she should be held responsible. It is one thing to have a view, but quite another to speak it. Further, since she considers herself a religious woman, what does the Bible say about speaking out of the abundance of the heart? Maybe she might want to peruse the Psalms where God makes it clear not to seek the harm of another or it will end up being your own trap. Then of course, Jesus said, If you live by the sword you will die by it." Hmm. Maybe she should search her heart for the apparent hatred of people who think differently than she does.

So she cannot say that I am a liberal, it should be known that I agree that abortion is wrong for women using it as a birth control method. However, I am not foolish enough to think that the reversal of Roe v Wade will stop the abortions. It will just send it back to the backrooms where it was before it was legal. More women will die because of botched procedures, and the babies will still die.

My issue with Ann Coulter is that she seems to have this serious "foot in mouth" disease that she refuses to get treated. Spreading hatred through encouraging murder will not stop the "murders" that she is seeking to stop.

Please stop saying that you speak for conservatives, because I think Ann speaks for Ann alone on this one. We don't murder our enemies.

Del,
If Roe v. Wade is overturned abortion will still be legal in some states, albeit only blue ones. What that means is poor women in red states will have no means to travel to states where abortion will still be legal. More poor women and unwanted babies.
