Church Fires Were a "Joke"

The Feds earned their money with the arrest of two Methodist college students believed to be behind the 10 fires of Baptist churches in Alabama. Benjamin Nathan Moseley and Russell Lee Debusk Jr., both students at Birmingham-Southern College, and The third suspect is Matthew Lee Cloyd, a 20-year-old student at the University of Alabama at Birmingham. According to affidavits, it started as a "Joke."

Are you amused? I am not amused in the least. I thik they should have to rebuild everyone they burned down. Why make them go to jail, when we can put that energy into making them work. Think about it, with every hit of the nail, every conversation with a church member, they will be known as the arsonist. Then after they have rebuilt their damage then you can put them in jail for a few years to think over the stupid choices they made to be there.

What did they think would be funny about burning down a Church? Is this part of the generation that has no real concept of right and wrong, evil and good. What makes it worse is that they were attending a religious college. I hope they failed their classes in ethics, and humanity.

I also have to wonder about the parents. What kind of parents create kids who think church burning is funny. Are they at least satisfied that it was not one of their denomination? They should be appalled that they let these kids loose on society.

What a waste to true energy and creativy. To be so young without a clear conscience. Well, I hope they enjoy being the girlfriends of their future cellmates.

Indifference, to me, is the epitome of evil. Elie Wiesel
