My Resignation from Harvest Rock Church Caused a Stir

I have never put my business on a blog when it comes to leaving a Church until this week. The reason is because it has usually not been a doctrinal issue or anything like that. This time it was different. There was a deception that had been played out in the public, and I can't figure out who is the real deceiver. Was it Todd Bentley or Was it the group who commissioned him as a way to silence his critics? I admit that I still don't know. Maybe it was both.

I do not hold the group, Che Ahn, Peter Wagner, Bill Johnson, or John Arnott responsible for Bentley's choices, but for their fast tracking him when they would not have done that to any other person.

The Bible is clear about laying hands on people too quickly lest you share in their sin. I think we just saw what Paul meant by that.

These leaders didn't check on Todd Bentley or they would have found that he is a convicted child molester in Canada. Do we really want to commission someone who went to jail for hurting a kid. He was 15 at the time, and claims to have come to Christ 5 years later.
They would see that he relies more on unconfirmable "experiences" than on the Word of God.
They would see that he disappeared for months last year because of "issues" that seem to have not been dealt with.

How come everyone else could see, but the people who should see?

Indifference, to me, is the epitome of evil. Elie Wiesel

I suppose they think like this...if they shut their eyes tight enough, the bad guys can't see them. Trouble is, my seven year old thinks that too.

I found a wonderful place called ----- Black White --- for black Women and white Men, or black Men and white Women to interact with each other. Interracial is not a problem here, but a great merit to cherish!
