Bobbi Kristina Attempted Suicide, Medical Issue, or Tragic Accident?

There is the notion that if you are the child of a rich kid or famous person that you have it made in the shade. The problem is that the opposite is most often true. Bobbi Kristina, the 21-year-old daughter of Bobby Brown and the late Whitney Houston could be just the poster child of it. On Jan 31, 2015, she was found unresponsive in her bathtub, just how her mother died, by her husband.

At the time of this writing she is on life support. Reports say there were no drugs in her system or home, so that leaves three options: One, a medical issue, two, an accident, or three, she did this to herself. If she did it to herself, the only reason would have to be undealt with loss of her mother, or perhaps her whole upbrining. He mother and father, Bobby Brown had protected her, but at the death of Whitney, she was thrown into the limelight. Tabloids followed her around, and wrote all kinds of stories about her.

In 2013, Paris Jackson, daughter of the late Michael Jackson, tried to commit suicide. She was 15 at the time. In her case, it was not a drug issue, but family fighting since the tragic death of her father. Add to that, she was thrown into the limelight after his death.

Both these women did not seek "fame," but have suffered at the hands of the media and others due to who their famous parents were. They have not been allowed to deal with the deaths, but have been challenged to fill the shoes of their lost parents in some manner.

Our society expects, no, requires that we just "get over it" when it comes to death and tragedy. Our news reports are filled with stories where on the same day of a tragedy people are already talking about rebuilding or moving on. I am not one who thinks we need to linger over stuff, but clearly the ignoring and pretense of strength is not working.

Grief not dealt with leads to depression. If it is not treated, it can lead to what we have today. A woman, who is now in a medically induced coma, whose chances of survival are not looking well. Perhaps if the media had left them in private Bobbi Kristina and Paris Jackson could have grieved and one of them would not be fighting for her life.
The good news is that Paris Jackson has recovered and has another chance. Let's hope Bobbi Kristina gets a chance as well.
